IHEC Conferences

Organised bu YÖÇAD, the International Higher Education Studies Conferences (IHEC) have been held since 2015, serving as a prestigious event where critical discussions and research in the field of higher education are brought to the forefront. Each conference is organized in collaboration with a different university, enhancing the academic diversity and international interaction of the event.

Every year, a call for proposals is announced in April-May, inviting scholars and researchers to contribute to the conference. The conference itself takes place every October, providing a platform for participants to engage in discussions about current challenges and solutions in higher education. Each year YÖÇAD and a Turkish university cooperates for hosting the conference.

Over the years, renowned academics such as Founding Director of International Center for Higher Education Research (INCHER) Prof. Dr. Ulrich Teichler; Professor of Higher Education from Oxford University, Rachel Brooks and Prof. Tatiana Fumasoli (among others) have contributed as keynote speakers, significantly enriching the event. The International Higher Education Studies Conferences continue to grow in scale, fostering dynamic academic dialogues and shaping the future developments in the field of higher education.
